Great progress has been made in the building of the Trade Training Centre.
After a week of hard work and lots of fun the Community put on a very special Ahsante ceremony for everyone involved.
Joanna Robertson recently hosted a fund raising evening at her art gallery, Kidogo Arthouse. The evening was attended by many associated with the Matipwili project and was a great success.
The students of two Perth schools, Scotch College and Presbyterian Ladies College are working together to fund and help build the Trade Training Centre in Matipwili.
The centre is taking shape. The large cement blocks have been specially made by hand, the timber cut and the building is growing.
All the groups involved in the planning and building of the Trade Centre have been working hard, first to raise money for the project and then to actually build.
The Matipwili Trade Training Centre continues to grow.
The foundations are laid, the water tank built and lots of blocks have been made for the construction of the walls. We now look forward to the next steps....
the building of the walls and then the roof.
